Ben spoke to the alumni and friends of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution. He used a description of his encounter with the war lord, Joseph Kony to illustrate how mediators have to expand their repetoire to deal with the epi centers of power so that the policy context to give peace a chance is established.
Ben met with the Group of 78 where he discussed the role of war lords and peace lords in ending armed violence.
Ben announced the launch of his new book, Peace Guerilla, at a luncheon in Ottawa, on February 12th, 2010. A great success, the luncheon was attended by 14 of Ben’s friends, colleagues, and CIIAN staff, associates, and board members.
